Shoshana helped pioneer the growth and development of floatation in the USA, Europe, and around the world.

Shoshana trained with Lee and Glenn Perry, founders of the first commercial float tank company (Samadhi), and Dr. John C. Lilly, the pioneering scientist who conducted research on sensory deprivation and its effects on the brain. Shoshana introduced luminaries such as Robin Williams, John Lennon Peter Gabriel, John McEnroe, Susan Sarandon, Annie Lennox and Marshall Chess to floating, as well as Micheal Hutchison, author of The Book of Floating, a pivotal work which explains the benefits and scientific research regarding floatation.

Shoshana loves to float and her history is rich with tales of the many thousands of people touched deeply by floating. She's watched floating grow from the late 1970s to the present day, helping to develop many of the protocols that are used in float centers around the world. With over 40 years of knowledge and seen as an industry expert. Shoshana created the first global online directory of float spas and centers, and played a leading role in developing quality standard and regulatory policies for the float industry both in America and Europe. Shoshana has collaborated in research projects that have moved the float industry forward, helping Justin Feinstein and the Epsom Salt Council on Magnesium Sulfate together.

Floating counts. It's about what customers need and to assist their process with the proper tools and communication. Working in a float center brings people into the fold, and it brings people together into a larger group with a larger vision. I start with an orientation to communicate in a subtle way with each person, making them feel completely comfortable and in control of their experience. The orientation experience is a performance and something that you work on so that you can feel more connected with each of your customers. If they don't get a unique gratifying experience then you haven't done your job. And perhaps they won't come back. An important part of floating is creating a regular practise and that starts with the float business letting their customers overcome their fear and expectations about floating. Everybody has some kind of fear: fear of the unknown, fear of the dark, fear of being trapped, fear of failure. We are only human, right, iit is important to work through our fears in order to progress.

Shoshana Leibner has been around since the inception of the first commercial float tanks, well over 40 years ago, and has worked in all areas associated with the float industry in this time, so passionate about spreading the health benefits of floating she made every effort to understand all facets of what it takes to build, maintain and grow a float centre and business.

When she moved to Italy for her dance career Shoshana started the first international sales for Samadhi Tank Company including design and manufacturing, this led to working with new float centres, resorts, hotels, celebrities, and athletes to use floating in business and training programs.

Shoshana went on to work with other float manufacturers and designers. With her knowledge and skills, she helped custom designs centres providing her customers their ideal environment and supporting them well after completion. Her experience setting up centers led to her developing templates with cost saving steps from the buildout to equipment and operations.

Shoshana is known internationally as one of the pioneers in floating. She was the first in creating many aspects within this industry including the health and safety regulations and permits . She launched the 1st technical team of experts to facilitate situations in 24/48 hr turn around to import export - shipping expertise, this needs wor

Customers rely on her expertise with Dreampod, Float Spa service issues that customers may have.

Another first Shoshana created in 2012 was the mobile float, the only portable Samadhi Float Tank at Burning Man in 2013. This was such a success she has been to only one invited to return.

While volunteering with the FTA ( float tank association of America) Shoshana spearheaded the Magnesium Research study and developed Float Standards and Float Sanitation for the float industry. She was then elected Executive Director for Floatation Tank Association 2015-2019.
